Makeup effects and prosthetics were provided by Neil Gorton at Millennium Effects.
Grimoires were hand made at TRIPTIK. Images and text were sourced, paper was aged and laced into cloth covered books.
The burning witches incantations used for the titles were printed, aged and burned at TRIPTIK.
TRIPTIK are lucky to be surrounded by incredible Hampshire forests, the perfect locations for drone and pick up shots to perfectly match the main shoot in Cornwall.
Rhettorick Mill bar is full of original charm and was the perfect location for the Hellam Bar scenes, With many of the original bar features left in place for the shoot.
A found bird carcass combined with earth worms were the perfect spell ingredients.
Vines and leaf litter collected from local forests were used to create the disturbing end scene.
JP wanted a film noire atmosphere using high contrast and low key lighting to add an eerie effect. DOP Lily Grimes didn’t disappoint!
Clever use of smoke and lighting created the perfect glow for the car fire at dusk.
JP has never shied away from pushing the colours as he shows in this grade using teal and red as his foundation to enhance key scenes.
