WHO WE ARE
Triptik is a small Independent Film and TV Production Company run by JP Davidson with support from his wife Amy who provides assistance with all projects. Triptik has well established relationships with various freelance specialists in all areas from art direction and prosthetics to lighting and music production.
OUR EXPERIENCE
JP has over 25 years experience working collaboratively and autonomously in production and post production in the British Film & TV Industry working in facilities, on location and from our post production studio optimised for remote working,
JP’s experience includes writing, directing, producing, shooting, editing, grading, post producing, edit producing, compositing and marketing feature films, documentaries, factual TV, music videos, concerts, film trailers and online content
JP began his career in London facilities where he became a popular editor and colourist. After writing and directing his first feature in 2016 which was nominated for Best UK Film at Raindance he has been involved in making films, music videos, documentaries and content ever since. As well as writing, directing and finishing Triptik productions JP also works for clients as a jobbing director, camera operator, editor and colourist and provides a facility level service from our tried and tested remote studio.
Amy has over 10 years experience supporting all types of productions from documentaries to feature films and everything in between. Her experience includes script editing and proof reading, production planning, historical research, sourcing cast, locations, contributors and media as well as creating and sourcing costumes and props for Triptik Porductions. Amy’s versatile approach adapts to each project offering support as required.
We have experience working with high profile individuals, artists, musicians, actors, historians, military and intelligence experts, sportspeople, government bodies, corporates and dealing with sensitive information.

Triptik Productions - How we work
Collaboration: We like to take the collaborative approach, listening to clients needs, creating strong lines of communication to ensure a clear understanding of the project brief and set budget while establishing an honest working relationship.
No Hidden Costs. Using JP’s extensive editing and colourist experience all productions are lit and shot with the end result in mind, saving valuable time and money in post, extensively reducing clients costs. There are no equipment hire costs as we provide our own kit and post production studio. We currently shoot with the Sony FX3 Cinema line camera and the DJI Flip 4k capable Drone.
Additional Expertise: We have established relationships with a reliable team of professionals who provide additional expertise in all areas of production from art department, prosthetics, light, sound, camerawork to after effects if required. If productions require additional expertise we have people we trust to get the job done.

Post Production - Supporting existing productions
With his vast technical ability and creative mind JP has successfully set up a reliable remote studio that surpasses clients expectations while significantly reducing clients costs. We aim to provide a top facility level service at a fraction of the price.
Our post production studio is capable of 4k grading and editing in realtime with 4k HDR & SDR monitoring (regularly calibrated), grading panels, SSD storage for playback and large JBOD storage for archive and backup. We also have a second offline suite for overspill, transcoding or on-set BU/DIT.
JP has consistently provided a facility level service to repeat clients as a remote based editor and colourist from our tried and tested optimised studio.
